Life of Allama Khadim Hussain Rizvi
He started the Hifz-e-Quran class in Jhelum. Further, he took admission in Jamia Nizamia, Lahore. He is a Hafiz-e-Quran
and Sheikh-ul-Hadees. He delivered Friday sermons at Lahore’s Pir Makki Masjid while in the Punjab Auqaf and Religious Affairs Department. He then kicked the Auqaf job when he was asked not to talk on Namoos-e-Risalatصلى الله عليه وسلمand Khatm-e-Nabuwwatصلى الله عليه وسلم .He was very firm on this stance from the very beginning. He was fluent in Urdu, Punjabi, Arabic and Persian, he was known for his speeches in the defense of Namoos-e-Risalat صلى الله عليه وسلمand Khatm-e-Nabuwwatصلى الله عليه وسلم , and apart from the Quran and Hadees, he was very much loved for heavily quoting the poetry of Alahazrat Imam Ahmed Raza Khan Barelvi and Allama Muhammad Iqbal, whom he considered to be his main influences. He was called”Ameer-ul-Mujahideen” for all his hard work and sacrifices for Namoos-e-Risalatصلى الله عليه وسلم and Khatm-e-Nabuwwatصلى الله عليه وسلم. He was also called “Baba Jee”, “Ustaad Sahab” and “Rizvi
Sahab” in love by his lovers and followers. He has been confined to a wheelchair since 2006 ever since an accident near Gujranwala as the driver of his vehicle fell asleep while driving from Rawalpindi to Lahore. But he never made this disability his weakness, instead he made this his strength and continued Islamic work with more pace. In 2017, he founded a political party called Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan, a political front for Tehreek Labbaik Ya Rasool Allah (TLYR). TLP came into existence after the hanging of Ghazi Mumtaz Husain Qadri R.A, who assassinated the Blasphemer Salmaan Taseer, the Governor of Punjab, for opposing the blasphemy laws and saying bad words for blasphemy laws. During the assassination of the Governor, Allama Khadim Hussain Rizvi was serving as an auqaf official in the Punjab government. Allama Khadim Hussain Rizvi had rightly justified the assassination of blasphemer Salman Taseer on the pretext that Taseer had termed the blasphemy law as a “black law”. He was served warning notices from auqaf to cease and desist from spreading his views in favour of blasphemy laws, but he refused and kicked the Auqaf job when he was asked not to talk on Namoos-e-Risalatصلى الله عليه وسلمand Khatm-e-Nabuwwatصلى الله عليه وسلم. He was very firm on this stance from the very beginning. After leaving his auqaf job, Allama Khadim Hussain Rizvi, had more opportunity to preach his views on Namoos-e-Risalatصلى الله عليه وسلم and Khatm-e-Nabuwwatصلى الله عليه وسلم. He travelled across the country city-to-city and street-to-street to build support for Section 295-C of the Pakistan Penal Code, which deals with blasphemy law, if committed against Holy Prophetصلى الله عليه وسلم. He also spoke out for the release of Ghazi Mumtaz Hussain Qadri R.A, his persistent advocacy earned him the nickname of “Blasphemy Activist” & “Namoos-e-Risalatصلى الله عليه وسلم ka
Chowkidar” in religious circles.
