Islami Touch

تھوڑا جیا جلسے نو دے دیو اسلامی ٹچ
When we were teenagers a song of Abrar-ul-Haq went viral. It was played at every party, wedding and function. At that time we were ignorant and didn’t understand the meaning of the song nor did we ever try to understand the lyrics. Our Punjabi was weak so it became the national anthem of youngsters. Today when I think about it I realize the hidden vulgarity behind the song. The first two lines of the song were
“Thora jeya music nu de deyo Punjabi touch
Nach majajan Nach Majajan Nach”
So basically the poet is trying to say that give the music a little Punjabi beat and all these Women will start dancing. Dance and music was a culture of Punjab and still is. So technically the poet is exploiting that culture and telling the musician that just add some Punjabi beat and watch the
women dancing. It would be a matter of honor for a Punjabi if some outsider tells his household women to dance. And in Pakistan people can actually kill for guarding their honour. However, when culture was amalgamated in a song people considered it harmless and soon we saw Punjabi women dancing on the roads asking for fundamental rights.
The reason for narrating the long story was to bring attention of our youngsters that how this Cultural and Religious ‘Touch’ has been used against our country folks for a long time. The viral video of Qasim Suri asking Imran Khan to give a little Islamic Touch to his speech shouldn’t be surprising. Because this is what they actually do. They bring some liberal, feminist, marxist, Islamic or whatever touch that serves their purpose in their campaigns and people blindly follow
them. I urge the youth of my country to wake up. Open your eyes. See the hypocrisy. Don’t defend it. Allah is showing you signs. It is your duty to see them and redirect your efforts. Your struggle should not be for Imran Khan, Nawaz Sharif, Zardari or any leader. Only Allah and the Holy Prophet ﷺ has the right to your souls and blood. Don’t waste your efforts for people who won’t even know your name if you die for them. Struggle for Allah and His Prophet ﷺ who will remember you in the most magnificent places in the heavens above. Stop blindly following these narcissistic people whose only motive is power.
Stand with Islam . Stand with Prophet ﷺ . Stand with true followers of Holy Prophet ﷺ !
